I will try to make this presentation appealing for readers into whose hands it falls. I hope it is appetizing to your palate! I find that this process has been fulfilling for me, in that I have enjoyed the appetizers, salads, main course, and causes me to look for the second and third courses of desert. As this seems to be a time when reading a book or writing anything is somewhat a lost art, I want this to make you hungry for more of both. (Reading and writing are connected!) What would the smells of your feast be like? Mine might be the smells of fresh, home-made rolls baking in the oven, and grandma’s chicken-and-dumpling soup simmering on the stove, or maybe the smells of a Thanksgiving dinner.
My themes throughout this book are: write your own life story; seek out and connect with family; be in relationship; recognize and acknowledge and honor your chosen family (your friends); gather others’ life stories, and encourage others to write or record and share theirs before it is too late! The clock is ticking … DO IT! Thanks, I feel better now that I got that off my chest. Now it’s up to you.
